Description
Brachypelma hamorii—one of the most recognizable ground-dwelling tarantulas, prized for its calm appearance, contrasting coloration, and distinctive orange-red accents on its legs.
This species, native to Mexico, has enjoyed great popularity among tarantula enthusiasts for years. Its black body, light-colored carapace edges, and vivid orange leg markings make it an exceptionally attractive species to observe.
The specimens offered come with documents certifying their captive origin, issued by the PIW (District Veterinary Inspectorate).
Key Information
Species: Brachypelma hamorii
Type: terrestrial
Origin: Mexico
Target size: approx. 6–7 cm DC
Venom: typically mild, but as with any tarantula, caution should be exercised
Lifestyle: terrestrial, with a tendency to use hiding spots and dig
Activity: mainly in the evening and at night
Conditions
Brachypelma hamorii thrives best in a terrarium with a base area larger than its height, with an appropriate layer of substrate, a stable hiding spot, and good ventilation.
