Phormingochilus sp. Akcaya L4

Phormingochilus sp. Akcaya, also known as "Akcaya Earth Tiger," is an exotic, rare, species-unspecific bird native to Borneo and Sulawesi. Its greatest attraction is its contrasting colors - a metallic golden-brown carapace with a copper or greenish sheen, and distinct stripes on its legs resembling a tiger-like pattern. Adult females reach a leg span of about 17 - 18 cm, while males are noticeably smaller. It is a fast, arboreal and territorial spider that assumes a ready posture when defending itself, and its bite, while rarely dangerous, can be painful. The species grows quickly and requires experienced keepers - not recommended for beginners due to its temperament and environmental requirements. In breeding, it prefers taller terrariums (min. 30 cm), with deep moist substrate and cork hiding places for climbing. The optimal temperature is 24 - 29°C during the day and 22 - 23°C at night, with humidity maintained at 80-90%, reflecting its natural conditions in Borneo. Females can live up to more than 12 - 15 years, while males typically live to 2 - 4 years.
