Description
Typhochlaena seladonia (T. seladonia) is one of the most visually striking bird species, native to Brazil. It is a small, arboreal species, known for its intense, metallic green-blue coloration of its carapace and contrasting orange-red patterns on its abdomen. It leads a secretive lifestyle, building distinctive hiding places in the crevices of tree bark. It is a peaceful species, but very sensitive to breeding mistakes, so it is recommended mainly for experienced breeders. It requires an upright terrarium with good ventilation and stable humidity and temperature parameters.
