Description

Chilobrachys fimbriatus is an interesting species of Old World bird, native to the tropical forests of India. This species is distinguished by its contrasting coloration: a bright, beige-cream carapace with a radial pattern and dark, velvety legs and abdomen. A subtle herringbone pattern is often visible on the abdomen. Although some individuals may show a subtle dark purple sheen after the rope, in most cases this spider displays deep, dark colors. Behavior and venom: As befits a representative of the old world, C. fimbriatus is an extremely fast, defensive spider with a powerful venom. It has no scabbing hairs, so it relies on its speed and aggression in a threatening situation. It often adopts a defensive posture. Because of these characteristics, it is a species for experienced keepers only, who can handle dynamic animals. Breeding conditions: In the terrarium, this species is a master of engineering. It creates extremely elaborate and dense systems of webbed tunnels that often connect to the substrate. It requires high humidity and a temperature around 25-28°C. Provide it with a thicker layer of moist substrate (peat, coconut fiber), which will allow it to carry out its natural building instincts. Good ventilation is very important.
